Wildfire smoke has remained aloft over our area the past day or two. That may change late tonight & especially Thursday, as winds turn to the north behind a cold front. Here is a model projection of when near-surface smoke concentrations may increase. The band of higher concentrations is projected to drop south across our region during the day Thursday, potentially bringing a period of reduced air quality and/or visibility. Conditions are projected to improve again by late Thursday evening. | US
